HB ELKS LODGE MEMBERSHIP

To be eligible for membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, you must be a U.S. citizen over the age of 21 who believes in God. Any member in good standing from any lodge in the country can sponsor you. Additionally, you will need two other Elks to serve as your references. The member proposing your membership will provide you with a Membership Application or a link to the online application. Please follow all instructions and answer all questions thoroughly. If you are applying via hard copy, return your completed application to the Lodge Secretary.

Your application will be read at a regular Lodge meeting and then forwarded to the Investigating Committee. The committee will contact you to schedule an interview. After your interview, the committee will report their findings to the Lodge. Members will be notified at least 10 days but no more than two months before the vote on your membership is taken. Once the vote is concluded and you are balloted for, you will be notified and invited to attend an Orientation. During Orientation, you will learn about the Order’s programs and charities and be informed of your initiation date. After initiation, you can participate in all Lodge meetings and social functions.

If your application is rejected, you can reapply six months from the date of rejection.

APPLICATION FEE: (one time administrative fee) $150

2024 ANNUAL DUES: $192 and is prorated from April 1st as the year progresses

*You will need the FULL NAME of your SPONSOR and one to two references prior to completing this form. Your sponsor and references can be members in good standing at any Elks Lodge.
